Halloween and Brandy came to Visit

I once again was able to have fun with my life size Barbie. I spend an hour or two on Brandy's hair and Make-up for Halloween.
Devin kind of scared Alli the first time he put on this mask. He is "V" from "V for Vendetta".

Such a spirited group. This was taken about 20 seconds before I had a violent attack of the stomach flu! I couldn't resist being a cow (since I kind of feel like a cow with the nursing thing). Isn't Alli a cute calf?!

When Brandy and I went to buy pumpkins to carve for my company pumpkin carving contest...we couldn't find any pumpkins at first. We did end up finding the little pumpkin you can see in the photo. So, Brandy had the bright idea to crave a pineapple (which we named Wilson) and a squash. The squash is carved like a wannabee pumpkin. We had a good time. Alli did eventually knock over the pineapple spilling wax all over the place. :)

I love Aunt Brandy!

Alli with her Fairy Godmother.

While Brandy was visiting she was able to vote at the poles for the very first time. Being in the military makes her have to vote with a mail in ballot most of the time.
All in all it was a great time while Brandy was here. The only bad part was when I came down with the stomach flu the night before Halloween. I was down and out that night and most of the next day, so we ended up just hanging out at the house and watching movies. We wish we could see her more often!

So many firsts!

Allison experienced her first snow fall on Monday. We put her in her snowsuit and let her sit in the snow. She promptly fell forward and got a face full of snow! She didn't cry, but she was very shocked!
Alli started eating about three weeks ago. We started on rice cereal, but now she eats squash, bananas, and green beans. She has two big chompers in there and is LOVING using them!

Ahh the pony tail. If I don't put her hair up, her hair gets in her eyes all day long. :)

I told Devin I needed a dose of smiling Alli, and this is the picture he sent. She makes me smile every time!
Just cute!

More Fall Fashion!

This is more of a fall outfit than a Halloween outfit...bit oh so cute in her dress and polka dots.

My dad's "Cat"tle dog...he likes to perch on top of the couch and check out the neighborhood.

Alli ate this morning for the first time! She had some rice cereal and loved eating off of a spoon like Mommy and Daddy. She ate all of it (1 tbsp rice cereal w/ 4 tbsp of milk in it). I think she had just as much of it on her as in her! Good times at breakfast. On another note...she is rolling like crazy.

In Full Halloween Spirit

The Mestas Clan is a very festive bunch (even if Devin has not fully embraced my enthusiasm)! In honor of October being here, I have decked out Alli's wardrobe with Halloween outfits...not costumes (although she has those too)...outfits. Below are three of seven she will be sporting this month! I will post the others as she wears them.

Hey cute butt!

"Dad HELP! Mom's got me in these crazy outfits!"

The shirt says, "I want my Mummy."

4 months

I can't believe my girl is 4 months old! We have had a very exciting last couple of days with our little miss Allison. On Monday night she rolled over from her back to her stmoach for the first time. I was able to get her second roll on video, so if you are on facebook you should check it out.

On Tuesday she cut her first tooth! No fussing from her; I had no idea it was coming.

Today she went in for her 4 month check-up and they said she is very strong for her age and in excellent health!

Alli now has a bedtime of 8pm, and she is doing very well at falling asleep on her own...only a couple minutes of fussing. :)

The picture below is from Marsha's daughter's (Loryn) first birthday. What a cute princess!

Labor Day Weekend

Allison spent Labor Day Weekend out at the Kephart Cabin with Grandma and Grandpa Kephart and the Penmans...and mommy of course! Dad was off hunting for Caribou in the North. No caribou :(. Alli got to have her first Airplane ride, and hung out with Grandma and Aunt Larisa while mom went Moose hunting!
Alli with Uncle Jason

This is how she rode in the plane strapped to me so that I would have my hands free and be snug and safe if there were to be turbulance.

A walk in the wilderness.

The Alaskan dog whisperer.

Penman kids hanging out in the loft. Megan would periodically check what Alli was up to.
